Are you your parents’ favorite child? On the surface this seems like an easy question to answer. But sometimes, depending on the family dynamic, it’s not so easy. A new study has just been released that tells you exactly how to tell. According to “Psychological Bulletin,” there are several factors that can help in determining which child is the favorite. One of which is order of birth. Older siblings tend to get away with more. Personality characteristics is another way to tell. The study finds children that show more responsibility are more likeable and have fewer conflicts with parents. Also, the study shows that daughters are treated more favorably than sons. We took the question of “How do you know that you’re NOT the favorite child?” to our Facebook page. Ramiro admitted he is his mother’s favorite while his sister is his dad’s favorite. Pebbles sister Ruth passed away some time ago but says when she was alive, growing up she herself was the “easiest” and that her parents didn’t have a favorite. Melissa admitted she by far is the favorite since she’s the least screwed up between she and her brother. And finally, Leroy says he’s the least favorite out of his 3 siblings.
