Lil Durk Faces Wrongful Death Lawsuit Over Alleged Hit on Quando Rondo’s Cousin
A mother’s heartache has led to legal action as Andrea Laquila Robinson sued Lil Durk this month. She claims the rapper orchestrated her son’s murder in West Hollywood last year.
The incident involves a deadly shooting near West Hollywood on August 19, 2022. Saviay’a Robinson, known as Lul Pab, was shot and killed while riding in a car with Quando Rondo. He died from his injuries.
This civil lawsuit adds to growing legal problems for the rapper. FBI agents have linked him to multiple deaths, including a murder-for-hire plot connected to his brother’s killing in 2021. New claims connect him to a Gangster Disciples leader’s death in 2022. He also faces criminal charges for Robinson’s killing.
Warren Postman, representing the family, told the Tribune, “The untimely death of Mr. Robinson stunned his community and his family. We have filed this suit in an attempt to make those culpable take responsibility and support his family in these difficult circumstances.”
The lawsuit names several defendants – his record label Only the Family (OTF), an unnamed manager, and one related business. Police believe the shooting was payback for King Von’s death in 2020, someone close to the accused.
In the winter of 2024, a judge denied bail worried he might run. The case’s complexity pushed the trial from early 2025 to fall, with extensive evidence still being examined.
Investigators are sorting through a huge collection, 230 GB of digital files and thousands of documents. Locked up in LA, the rapper maintains his innocence.
