Will 'Glicked' Have The Same Success As 'Barbenheimer?' In case you've been living under a rock, Wicked opens this weekend. Gladiator II also opens which puts two potential blockbuster movies in theaters the same weekend. The potential is there for a record setting weekend hence the word "Glicked" was born. The word was created as a combination of both Wicked and Gladiator II much like when Barbenheimer (Barbie and Oppenheimer) was created. But will Glicked have the same success as Barbenheimer?

Barbie and Oppenheimer fueled the fourth-biggest box office weekend in history when it opened in July of 2023. Combined, the two movies made over $240 million. $155 from Barbie and $80 million from Oppenheimer. Now let's look at predictions for Wicked and Gladiator II. Predictions for Wicked are $100 million for its opening weekend. Gladiator II's predictions are $65 million for its opening weekend. This would put Glicked well short of Barbenheimer. We can only wait and see as Glicked opens everywhere today!
