Jerry! Jerry! Jerry! A Jerry Springer documentary is coming and we are here for it! Even better is the name. "Fights, Camera, Action." If that doesn't describe The Jerry Springer Show perfectly, I don't know what does. The show that was a pop culture phenomenon is now getting a documentary, coming to Netflix.

The Jerry Springer Show - A Cultural Phenomenon

The Jerry Springer Show ran for twenty-seven seasons. From September 30, 1991 to July 26, 2018, Jerry Springer, people were glued to their TV's watching a whole lot of fighting, cursing, and heckling. Believe it or not, the show didn't start off that way. The show premiered as your regular, traditional talk show with a focus on political issues. Political issues! Can you imagine? It didn't do well in the ratings the first few seasons, and there was a reformatting into a tabloid talk show in the mid 90s. After that, it emerged as a pop culture phenomenon that had people screaming Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!

But behind the entertaining facade lay some darker truths. As we hear from the producers and ex-guests of The Jerry Springer Show, a murkier picture begins to emerge of the destruction it caused, raising renewed questions about who was responsible, and how far things should go in the name of entertainment."
