Touching Halloween Display Supports Woman Undergoing Cancer Treatment
Touching Halloween display aren’t words you would usually see together, but a recent story out of Ohio proved that they do, in fact, go together. Tammy experienced this touching Halloween display while going through cancer treatments, and it’s one of the most heartwarming good news stories I’ve ever heard.
Tammy’s Encouraging Story
Tammy Weihe was diagnosed with breast cancer in May, and one of the highlights during trips to the hospital was passing by one family’s skeleton display. The skeleton display would change with updates like skeletons washing the car, or other funny situations. Or there would be a new character joining the group.
The house was owned by Bill Pyles who has been decorating for Halloween with his family for years. They’ve collected multiple skeletons over the years. The first ones had 5-foot skeletons, and they now have some that are 12 feet tall!.
Bill says that the display has mostly been a hit, with cars passing by and honking their horns. But they have also received the occasional “nastygram” in his mailbox. That’s why, when he saw a note, he wasn’t sure what to expect. But this time, it was a “nicegram.”
The Note That Inspired A Touching Halloween Display
Tammy decided to leave a note for the family, and here’s what she said.
“I have been driving past your house daily for the past 19 days on my way to radiation treatments. A highlight of my journey has been checking to see who else had joined the bone family and what they are up to. Thankfully, Wed. Sept. 11 is my final radiation treatment, though I may need to continue to drive by once in a while to see what’s new.
Thanks for the diversion, Tammy”
The Touching Halloween Display From “The Bone Family”
Well once Bill got the note, he (and The Bone Family” decided to do something special for Tammy. They put up a special display for her when she drove by on September 11th for her final radiation treatment. Here’s the incredible result!
