Kendrick Lamar has just been chosen as the halftime performer for Super Bowl LIX. Why this is a big win for hip hop as the Super Bowl halftime is one of the most widely watched live show of the year, some fans are not happy about the choice and feel the honor should have gone to another rapper instead.
Super Bowl LIX will take place in New Orleans early next year. So many fans are questioning why Lil' Wayne wasn't picked as the halftime performer. Now, these fans are in no way trying to take anything away from Kendrick. They're giving him his flowers but ultimately wonder the timing of it all. Seeing as the Super Bowl in 2026 will be in Los Angeles, many feel the NFL could've waited until then to choose Kendrick and allowed the home town star Wayne to have his moment.
Now there is a possibility Kendrick brings Lil' Wayne on stage with him seeing as the two have collaborated. We'll have to wait and see. Super Bowl LIX takes place in New Orleans on 2/9/25.
