Ramiro

Born in Everett, Massachusetts, Ramiro has literally grown up on the radio in Boston. He did his first show at the age of 19 as a single kid with no children, and since then has shared every aspect of his life on air: from the birth of his 5 children, to his first marriage, divorce and his 2nd marriage. Outside of radio, he’s hosted numerous events for charity, hosted television shows, sports pre and post game shows, sporting events and even voiced characters for video games. He’s also currently the ring announcer for Combat FC, an MMA organization. An avid health enthusiast with black belts in Jeet Kune Do and Kenpo, Ramiro also enjoys Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Crossfit, triathlons and has run numerous marathons for charity. He also likes to “collect” tattoos. Having been tattooed from artists in Ma, NH, NY, Fla, Italy, London, Bali and Taiwan, so far….

Pebbles

When I was in high school, one of the nuns told me that I was loud and talked too much. Who knew you could turn something like that into a career? Well, through a totally unexpected series of events that led me from: my hometown of Wareham, MA to Northeastern University, a switch in majors from engineering to communications, and an incredible internship, I started my career in radio. Twenty-five plus years later, I have been lucky to have spent my entire radio career as an on-air personality in Boston. Radio was an accidental career for me, and one that allowed me to do so much more than play music and interview celebrities. It taught me about community, the importance of helping others, and using my voice to make a difference. My passion for youth literacy led me to create “Pebbles Reading Rockstars,” reading to, and helping children to discover a love of books. An advocate for women and girls, I have volunteered with many organizations including: the Girl Scouts, First Book Boston, Respond Inc., MEDIAGIRLS, and more. My hope is that every day that I’m on the air, something I say either: encourages someone, makes them feel seen, or just makes them laugh and puts a smile on their face. In 2017, I was inspired to create the public affairs program VOICES with Pebbles, which ran for 5 years. I wanted to use the show to amplify the voices of people making a difference in the world, especially people representing marginalized groups. One of the highlights of my career was receiving a Gracie Award for Public Affairs Program – Local, the first year of the show. Along with Leroy who produced the show, we won again in 2021. The Gracie Awards recognize exemplary programming created by women, for women, and about women in all facets of media and entertainment. When I’m not struggling to get up in the morning for our show, you can find me: binge-watching K-dramas, swimming laps, reading a good book, spending time with family and friends, or planning my upcoming fall trip to South Korea.

Melissa

Melissa is a 26 year veteran in the Boston market. She began her radio career as a producer and was later promoted as the cohost of The Ramiro and Pebbles Show on WJMN “Jam’n 94.5.” After leaving WJMN in 2012, Melissa was reunited with boss Cadillac Jack at WBQT, “Hot 96.9” as the afternoon drive personality. Melissa later transitioned back to morning drive and was reunited with both Ramiro and Pebbles in 2016 for “The Getup Crew” with Ramiro, Pebbles & Melissa. Now with the addition of producer and sports reporter Leroy, “The Getup Crew” with Ramiro, Pebbles, Melissa & Leroy is now a force to be reckoned with in Boston. Melissa has won the Gracie Award for Outstanding Cohost which is a national award that recognizes exemplary programming created by women. With several TV appearances under her belt, Melissa has also volunteered for a number of charities including Project Bread, Cradles to Crayons, Horizons for Homeless and the Taunton Pop Warner program. In her spare time, Melissa loves to coach cheerleading and create content for each of her social media platforms.

Leroy

Hailing from the city of Boston, Leroy’s passion for radio, music, sports, and family infuses every broadcast with energy and authenticity. As a devoted father of four, he juggles his love for the airwaves with an active lifestyle, still hitting the sports scene and creating captivating music. Leroy’s extensive experience in radio spans multiple roles, from executive producer to midday host, and even stepping in as a fill-in host for 98.5 The Sports Hub. But beyond the mic, Leroy’s heart lies in the community, where he thrives on connecting with listeners and making a positive impact.
