TMZ reports that a judge is ordered to pay a Maryland Capitol police offer, Tyrelle Dunn, who says he was injured after attempting to rescue his wife who was in Songz’s hotel room in 2021. Songz was accused of misconduct while spending his 37th birthday in 2021 in Las Vegas. He allegedly brought multiple women back to his hotel room; Dunn states his wife screamed for help and claimed she was being held against her will.
After hearing his wife in need, Dunn states he attempted to intervene to save his wife, but was attacked by both Songz and his security. He states the incident caused him serious injuries that led him to miss work.
After being cleared of any criminal wrongdoing, Dunn then sued Songz for the incident. Court documents obtained by TMZ state that Songz never responded to the lawsuit which then led to the default judgment being entered against him.
Dunn will now get a major payout of $11 million as ordered by a Las Vegas judge. The millions are to cover past medical expenses, past pain and suffering, and further punitive damages.
This is not the first time Songz has been accused of doing such activity. In the past, models and influencers have taken to podcasts stating that Songz would allegedly hold their phones and keep them in his hotel room until he was done with them. On the No Jumper podcast, model and influencer, Aliza, detailed her interaction with Songz during their time of intimacy.
Songz has made no formal statement regarding the lawsuit or the millions he has been ordered to pay. Songz recently made headlines with the announcement of the Millenium Tour 2025 in which he headlines alongside Bow Wow, Omarion, and more!
