(Photo by Cole Burston/Getty Images)Drake dropped a surprise track over the weekend aimed at the friend he's lost since the Kendrick feud. He even threw a sneak diss at Lebron rapping “I saw bro in the Pop Out with them but been d*ckriding gang since 'Headlines.'" That's not all Drake had to say. “Askin’ me, ‘How did it feel?’ Can’t say it didn’t surprise me/Last time I looked to my right, you n****s was standing beside me/How can some people I love hang around pussies who try me?” Later, in his first verse, Drake raps, “It’s love for my brothers and death to a traitor, let’s go.”
There is an interesting detail about What Did I Miss that has fans scratching their heads. Did Drake use a sample of The Weeknd toward the end of the second verse? When I first listened to the song, I immediately thought I heard his voice. As we all know, Drake and The Weeknd have not been on the best of terms. They both broke out in 2011 and at first were cool but over the years their relationship took a turn. But in this clip, you can definitely hear a backround vocal that sounds eerily similar to The Weeknd.
Fan reactions to Drake's new song have been mixed and pretty hilarious:
