And if I had to be more specific, McDonald's diet coke. I can't explain it but something about the diet coke in their machines just seeps into my veins and hits harder than a bolt of lightning. Now before I get into why this may be, let me give you the results of the study.
The company that owns Keurig, Dr. Pepper, and a bunch of other brands just released its first ever "State of Beverages" report. You guessed it, coffee is the #1 "most IMPORTANT" beverage amongst Americans. But when you ask what our FAVORITE beverage is, it's soda.
Okay, back to Diet Coke. Now besides the low sugar/low calorie ingredients in Diet Coke, many feel they can still get the boost of caffeine they feel they need. Despite studies to the contrary, many believe Diet Coke is a "healthier" alternative to full sugar soda. The resurgence of Diet Coke has come through social media and influencers convincing us it's the IN drink of choice. But how about McDonald's Diet Coke? Why is it so good and why does this seem to be the ultimate hangover remedy for many?
While they say the the straws and filtration systems play a role in why McDonald's Diet Cokes taste so good, it's actually all about how it's made. Appaerently, it is served in a specific temperature range and is mixed with a higher syrup-to-water ratio compared to some other fast food chains. Personally, I don't care how it's made, as long as they continue to make it THE SAME WAY AND DON'T CHANGE IT, I'll be happy.
