SZA might be gearing up for a world tour with Kendrick Lamar this year, but her future plans sound much simpler—and a lot greener. Earlier this week, the singer shared that she’s thinking about changing music genres to wrap up her record contract and then swapping her career in entertainment for a life in agriculture.

“To fulfill my last 2 album requirements I think I just wanna make peaceful children’s music n get outta here,” SZA posted on X. “Then go be a farmer and donate the produce to underserved communities.”

SZA isn’t new to the world of children’s entertainment. She made a guest appearance on Sesame Street in March 2024. This came seven years after tweeting about how much she wanted to visit the famous street.

Her big announcement comes not long after she dropped her highly anticipated album, SOS Deluxe: Lana. Fans expected the 38-track album to release at midnight on Friday, Dec. 20, but delays pushed it a few hours to Friday afternoon instead.

"FULL DELUXE DROPS FIRST THING TOMORROW AM [salute emoji]," SZA reassured fans on Instagram. "(Had to get my mixes right lol! All songs are delivered and Ingesting into the system as we speak [smiley emoji] pls be kind .. we been up for days )."

The deluxe album is packed with 14 new songs, 23 tracks from the original SOS, and her previously released track, “Saturn.” But she wasn’t done yet—SZA also hinted at even more updates. In late December, she teased on X that “updated mixes and new songs” would arrive on Jan. 6: "Just got word all updated Mixes and new songs will be added Jan 6th when the label comes back from holiday." Those new mixes and songs have yet to be released at the time this article was published.

If all that weren’t enough, 2025 looks like it’ll be a whirlwind for SZA. Starting in April, she’s hitting the road with Kendrick Lamar for the Grand National Tour. Kicking off in Minneapolis, the tour will crisscross the U.S. for two months, wrapping up in Washington, D.C., in June.
