Karen Read 20/20 Interview Trailer – What You Need To Know About “The Perfect Storm”
A Karen Read 20/20 interview is set to air, and already has everyone talking. In case you’ve been living under a rock, Karen Read is the woman who was accused of being drunk and deliberately backing her SUV into her boyfriend of two years, Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe. It was alleged that she left him in the snow to die. The case went to trial and ended earlier this summer in a mistrial. Prosecutors will retry the case in January.
What To Expect From The Karen Read 20/20 Interview
So this is not a new interview, meaning it did not take place after the trail. This is described in the trailer as “exclusive and personal,” and the one-on-one interview took place one week before her trial. She is directly asked, “Did you kill John O’Keefe?” We’ll have to wait to hear her answer when the special airs. She was asked if it was possible that she hit him and just didn’t realize it? She answers yes when asked, “would you say that you were angry with John that night?”
We see footage from the courthouse with protestors outside. We see her getting ready to head to court and talking about getting her suit tailored. There are also a lot of pictures and video that I’m guessing haven’t been seen before. Although hardcore followers of the trial have probably seen them.

The show, described as an “ALL-NEW event special” will premiere on Friday night at 9/8c. You will also be able to stream it on Hulu.
